With the message, “From Action to Hope,” Patty Dreier will be the guest speaker at the Annual Meeting of the Chequamegon Food Co-op in Ashland, Wisconsin on April 16, 2022. “It’ll be like going home to talk with residents from the Ashland area,” said Dreier. “I worked for the Alliance for Sustainability in the Chequamegon Bay area in 2009 and got the inside scoop into how inspiring this region’s sustainability efforts are—including their local food movement.” Highlighting part of her book, Empowered: One Planet at a Time, Dreier will speak about sustaining ourselves and our planet through the power of communities like the Chequamegon Food Co-op, an organization with about 7,000 members.
“There will never be enough words to describe you and your accomplishments or your dedication to people/the Earth/environment, but this (message) is a great distillation,” said Laura Nagro, President of the Chequamegon Food Co-op and Ashland County Board Supervisor.
The presentation will happen virtually. “I’m looking forward to some great discussion,” said Dreier.
